As a pro bono effort, I had the distinct honor of designing the Michigan Fallen Heroes Memorial during my tenure at Harley Ellis Devereaux. Funded entirely by private donations, the memorial displays the names of both police and firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty in the state of Michigan.

Life-size bronze statues depicting a grieving police officer and firefighter had been commissioned and installed prior to our master plan approach. We relocated them to the center of a new, private and sacred place of remembrance and reflection. There they face a semicircular granite wall etched with the names of the fallen.
